Comic Illustration

Students viewed how the elements and principles of art apply to various mediums and subject matter. We then looked at how they relate to comic illustration. Students applied what they have learned of figure drawing to create their own original hero or villian, named them, and created an environment they will be in.

Line Drawing Activity

Each student received a sheet of paper with a single line on it. It was up to her/him to problem solve and create an artwork that incorporates the line as a part of the subject matter. Papers could be turned in any direction. Students stretched their brains to come up with some great creatures and scenes! Below are the pages they may have worked with.
