Dream Rocket Paintings!!!

It is my pleasure to unveil our paintings that will be sewn into the Guinness Book of World Records attempt to wrap the model of the Saturn IV rocket in Huntsville, Alabama. (See earlier posting). Each painting had between three and six students working together, depending on which topics they chose to address. The themes chosen are my students' dreams for the future and if things go their way all of our futures will be bright! Enjoy and be as proud of them as I am!

Comic Illustration

Students viewed how the elements and principles of art apply to various mediums and subject matter. We then looked at how they relate to comic illustration. Students applied what they have learned of figure drawing to create their own original hero or villian, named them, and created an environment they will be in.
