Food Sculptures

Students voted on whether to do a ceramics project that had many themes or if they would like to look at a theme that is common across art genres, food. The vote was overwhelmingly for food. :) Here are the results after looking at many time periods, art from different cultures and artists that either depict food or use is as media. Enjoy!!!

Masks

Students explored the concept of identity and how artists express their own identities through their work. Going back to our comic illustration lesson, we began talking about alter-egos. Students were to choose an image to make into a mask that represented their own alter ego and here are the results! :)
